This is print is of a bach on Rangitoto island - lease number 52.
Rangitoto island back in the day is remembered as a magical place:
"and when the last Blue boat left for the day, the island became the bach holders paradise, many shared BBQs, late night swims and walks. The peace of the island was like no other - star gazing and looking back at the twinkling lights of Auckland. Bunks in a tiny room, a transistor radio to keep up with the news, lots of games, a store that pumped out food for day visitors ran on a kerosene generator and hosted evening events for charters on the Blue Boats. There were housey and bingo nights, with deer wandering about grazing and at night the place was alive with Wallabies."
Size of prints listed is for the actual image, there is a border of paper surrounding the work.
