I loved this chocolate coloured bach on Rangitoto island set well off the path with its eye catching curved doorway.

This print of my painting could be of a seaside view nearly anywhere in New Zealand. It is in fact taken from a photo of Ngunguru while I was there on a lovely sunny holiday with my children. 

The image size of this print measures 400mm x 600mm - a great size work on the wall to draw your eye through into a view of an idyllic NZ summer day.

This print is taken from a painting completed in 2024 from a view taken while on a lovely walk with friends.

This work can simply be seen as a successful day out fishing, and there is so much life in this work. I painted the original painting in 2001 utilising a water colour technique I developed, on paper. Looking at this work now I imagine I was drawn to paint these fish because of their colour, the composition and the light. I also grew up with many boating holidays and love fish for dinner :-)

This print is taken from a photo I took looking out from Tiritiri Matangi island. Looking at the map I think the land forms in the distance have to be Little Barrier, Great Barrier and the Coromandel. It was an amazing place to visit, and I want to go back and stay overnight. This print of my most recent painting looks down onto Hahei beach and over to Te Pare Point with the Alderman islands in the distance. The serenity of this place, of places like this on a hot summer's day beckon the viewer to visit. I certainly want to go back to Hahei, it's been a while...

This is a print from a painting I have just finished. It depicts a view from Urupukapuka island overlooking the Waewaetorea channel to Waewaetorea island in - New Zealand's northland - the beautiful Bay of Islands. This area is special to me, it's where I grew up as a child and where my family have lived for generations.

In the late afternoon at the beach looking through the silhouette of a Pohutukawa tree up into the aether or quintessence (a medium which fills the space of the universe above the earthly sphere). The forms of this tree takes on an ethereal beauty - simultaneously familiar to us and otherworldly.

This large work (of 210+ painting hours) depicts an amazing view from the lookout on the very beautiful Roberton island (or Motuarohia island) one of the many stunning spots in the Bay of Islands - in New Zealand's north island.
