These beautiful marguerite daisies are a bright expression of life that I fell in love with and had to paint. On any wall they draw the eye bringing a summery calm to a room.

I've wanted to paint this view for such a long time. It's taken from a photograph of Ngunguru Sandspit when I was there with my kids on a family holiday, though it could of course be of many places in New Zealand. The  yacht reminds me of one I went away on a lot when I was a kid with my parents - I think it was a Davidson ...
